Default Pairs Question

I am kinda lost on the default pairs draw count.
with the pair sums draw count when an 8.22 comes out and it says L2 on the draw count that means 2 draws back the 8.22 pair sum came out.

but the default pairs draw count don't quite work that way. In otherwords the default pairs draw count may say L2 for an 8.22 pair sum but it may be much further back than that.

I guess i just can't figure out how the default pairs draw count works. any info would be helpful.

Nevermind, and what a dumb question, i just been looking at too many numbers and confused myself.
