I just read some interesting statistics for the Pick 3....
"If the previously drawn number was a single (6 way number) the probability for at least one digit to return in the upcoming draw is 65 %. So in almost 65% of Pick 3 draws at least one digit will come back when the previous winner was a single.
If the previous draw number was a double (3 way number) the probability for at least one digit returning is 49%. So in almost every other double draw at least one digit comes back. "
How can we take advantage of this statistical fact to guarantee a winner every time? If we wait for a previously drawn single (eg: 123) then make a wager on every possible combination of pick 3 numbers with a 1, 2, and 3 digit, technically we would win 65% of the time on the next draw. 65% is better than 50% and would give a long term edge over breaking even. In this example, it is also a good reduction technique to guarantee at least a 65% chance of hitting on the next draw.... making sure your wager contains the 1,2 or 3 digit and eliminating all others that do NOT. The issue arises with local lottery play, where the winner for a single pick 3 win is only +$80.00 with a $1.00 bet. However, online play bumps it up to $150 I believe?
I think using these STATS along with further reduction to reduce the numbers (which increases net payout) it could be a long term winning play,
