8 pair Sums How to use

David, I do not see any material on how to properly use 8 pairs to reduce the numbers. MO pick3 eve has 6 two's in a row. If I reduced all 2's, that would certainly give me an edge. The settings under 8 pair are far too confusing, 1st digit, 2nd digit?

to remove the 2's. you will click on the 8 pair sum and click on the "second digit, then click on 2.

in your example 591 the 8 pair sum is 1,2. the 1 represents the 1st digit and the 2 represents the 2nd digit

It's simple. Look at the digit after the equal sign "=".

For example, 1,2,2=1 - 2,1,2=1 - 2,2,1=1

They refer to how many 1 digits exit in the mix. They all have a single 1 digit in the mix.

For example, 1,1,2=2 - 1,2,1=2 - 2,1,1=2

They all have two 1 digits

For example, 1,1,1=3 - 2,2,2=3

They both have 3 of a kind.

NOW LOOK at the drop down that states "1ST DIGIT". It refers to the digits on the LEFT. When you change the drop down to "2ND DIGIT". It refers to the digits on the RIGHT.

When you put the LEFT and RIGHT digits together, you have patterns like 1,2 - 2,2 - 3,2, etc.

It is a simple way to recognize patterns and remove patterns. For example, look at the RIGHT digits in your sample above. There are 6 - 2 digits vertically. THUS, high chance it will flip to digit 1 or 3. Thus, change the drop down to "2ND DIGIT" and you turn off the 2 digit in the middle. It will remove ALL numbers that are associated with the 2 digit on the RIGHT side.

BUT ALSO LOOK!......do you see the letter "M" in the middle starting from the top M2,1/M1,2/M2,1.....There are 7 "M" letters running vertically in the middle. This refers to patterns 1,2 and 2,1. When it flips it will be either L1,1 or H2,2...This means you can use the 64PairSums to also remove all 1,2 and 2,1 patterns from the middle.

NOW LOOK at the 12SUMS column in your sample above...there are 4 "M" patterns vertically. You can use the 12SUMS filter to turn off the 1,2 and 2,1 patterns.

Just those 3 filter removals above took the 220 box numbers down to 35 numbers.

BUT also look at the CUT SUMS and 12SUMS columns in your example above. Look 4 "H' cut sums and 4 "M" vertically. About to flip. And removal of LHH which hit back to back EVE. Thus, by taking just those 3 patterns out, you took the 220 box numbers down to 39 numbers. And you can keep reducing.
